CARECREATION is a non-profitable, renewable energy and an environmental NGO, which conducts scientific research in the field of renewable energy and environment protection; CARECREATION is also a expert in advising on disaster relief, reconstruction and community resilience - a task it has taken on in the aftermath of the Tsunami Disaster in southern Asia (26th December 2004). Our primary aim here is to collate and disseminate technologies, strategies, good practices and contacts for the application of renewable energy in relief efforts after major disasters, and also in the reconstruction process. A special focus is given to community resilience - using renewable energy technologies to limit the destruction, loss of life and damage to communities in the case of natural or man-made disaster

Renewable energy technologies can actually ease the effect of electricity outages, because they can be designed to continue to work even when the electricity grid fails, keeping homes and business functioning during outages, or amid the chaos following natural disasters.

A Comprehensive Natural Hazard Mitigation Strategy should be the basis for Sustainable Development
