CARECREATION is a member of the ISES Task Group on Disaster Relief, Reconstruction and Community Resilience, which has been launched following the Tsunami Disaster in southern Asia (26th December 2004). Its primary aim is to collate and disseminate technologies, strategies, good practices and contacts for the application of renewable energy in relief efforts after major disasters, and also in the reconstruction process. A special focus is given to community resilience - using renewable energy technologies to limit the destruction, loss of life and damage to communities in the case of natural or man-made disaster.
